Thompson’s pacific version of the Gresley V2. Thompson ordered the last of the V2’s already on order to be built as his new A2/1 in Darlington.
Completed in 1945 and principally used for express passenger and goods trains.

The DJH kit covers the 8 wheel tender variants of 60508 ‘Duke of Rothesay’60509 ‘Waverley’ and 60510 ‘Robert the Bruce’ from 1951 until final withdrawal in 1961. This kit completes the DJH ‘Thompson’ collection.
