K81 LNER/BR A1/A3 4-6-2 (Corr/Non-Corr tender) As the class developed tenders varied, for the non-stop ‘Flying Scotsman’ service corridor tenders were introduced, then for locomotives built as A3’s a new high sided non-corridor tender was introduced. On 5 March 1935, A3 No.2750 ‘Papyrus’ broke the previous steam speed record with 108mph! Full details of the optional class variations are given in the kit instruction.
