Forty years after a large part of the BR Class 37 fleet passed through Crewe Works for mid-life refurbishment, these ever-popular English Electric machines will soon be available as ‘37/5s’ and ‘37/7s’ in O gauge for the first time.

Much like the real thing, Heljan's Class 37s are also undergoing a major overhaul to add finer detail, new features and a wide range of changes that allow us to replicate the many differences across the fleet. Despite these improvements, the RRP has been cut to just £499.00, further enhancing their value for money.

As always we are also offering our numbering and weathering service through the workshops should customer's wish to take advantage of this service. Weathering one of the factory numbered examples is an additional £50.00 with the customer's choice of the degree of weathering from light through to heavy weathering.There is also the option of sound fitting as well through the workshops at an additional £310.00 using the ESU v5.0 XL chip using a earthmover EM2 speaker

Only one version is being offered un-numbered. Numbering a loco is just £25.00, numbering and weathering an additional £75.00. This usually take 3-4 weeks to complete. We can also do named examples if required at an additional £25.00 subject to the number of plates required and this can take up to 6 weeks as the name plates are made specially to order.

We are doing two Limited Editions in this production, a 37/5 Colas to compliment the 37/4 we also produced in Colas livery and a 37/7 in Transrail livery.

We are taking advanmce orders for these now for despatch as soon as they become available which may be late 2026 or , more likely, early 2027

To cater for the many small detail variations across the refurbished Class 37 fleet, our all-new tooling will feature a wealth of new parts including:
