BR Mk 1 BCK Brake Corridor Composite

Dapol have announced the expansion of their exquisitely modelled Mark 1 coaches. The range will now include the BCK (Brake Corridor Composite) and FK (First Corridor) variants of the coach with five liveries being prepared: BR, Carmine and Cream, BR WR, Chocolate and Cream, BR Maroon BR Blue Grey. These new additions are based on the early rendition of the Mark 1 coach built between 1951 and 1960 without the window beading.


The BCK will be a very useful addition to any layout as it comprises first, third and luggage / guards area. They are ideal for everything from cross country services to a single coach behind a locomotive on a branch line.

For ease I have separated these out into the individual liveries available. We are taking advance orders for these now for despatch as soon as they become available. In each case there is one factory numbered coach and one un-numbered so the customer can choose their own number and region prefix and then also the option for DCC fitted if required.

These coaches should become available in 2024 and Dapol have indicated it will be the third quarter at the earliest. We are taking advance orders for these now for despatch as soon as they become available.
