Locomotives

RTR O Gauge locomotives.

The Heljan range of BR diesels in O gauge continues to expand with the addition of the Class 17 centre-cab Type 1. Building on the success of the Heljan OO gauge ‘Clayton’, this new locomotive will feature fine detail throughout, twin motor bogies, LED lighting functions, etched grilles, sprung buffers and has been designed for easy DCC and sound installation plus provision for an ESU smoke unit.

Design work has already completed and we expect to see the first test samples early in 2020, so far we have seen the blue fully finished example as shown here and should receive images of the others in the coming months. Once we have more images of the test sample we will update the website. Provisionally four liveries are planned. As of yet no price has been set for the loco.
